We have a dedicated mortgage retention line for intermediaries looking for details of the mortgage products available to existing mortgage customers. Our teams are now able to provide you with details of the mortgage rates that may be available to your client.
Please call 0845 609 0454 with your client’s mortgage account details to hand. Press option 1, then select from the following two options:
- Press 1 for rates available to your client and no additional information specific to your clients about their mortgage account.
- Press 2 for rates available and specific information regarding your client's mortgage account
Your client’s written authority for you to act on their behalf is only required when you wish to discuss information such as loan amount or monthly repayment – unless the customer is with you and the call can be passed over so they can be ID and Verified.
If your client wishes to proceed with a new deal, we will need to speak directly with them.

Overpayments of less than £500
All Alliance & Leicester mortgage products allow your clients to make overpayments of less than £500 per month ERC free. The amount they owe and amount of interest they pay is recalculated at the end of the month in which the overpayment is made.
Overpayments of £500 or more
Selected Alliance & Leicester mortgage products also have the option of a 10% overpayment facility. This allows your client to make one penalty-free overpayment in every January that falls within the Early Repayment Charge period as long as the amount is for £500 or more over the monthly payment due each January. The overpayment should not exceed 10% of the amount outstanding on your client’s mortgage account at the time it is made and will result in both the amount outstanding on your client’s mortgage and the amount of interest they pay being recalculated immediately following the receipt of the overpayment.
The overpayment can be made by way of a cheque or banker’s draft sent to us either at the local Branch that manages the mortgage account or at the Customer Service Centre address below:
